PTF


The Arkansas Baptist Elementary School’s PTF provides the opportunity for parents to get “plugged in” to the system.  PTF offers support to teachers and the school via volunteering and fundraising.  If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact any PTF board member or someone in the elementary office.

Fundraising

The Elementary PTF sponsors one major sales drive each year.  The bulk of the PTF funds come from this drive.  Through magazine, gift catalog and coffee scales, the Elementary PTF raised over $22,000 in the 2009-10 school year.   The money was used to upgrade technology, purchase classroom and physical education supplies and much more.

Parent Volunteers

There are many opportunities for volunteers who do not serve on the PTF Board.  It takes 50 100 volunteers to work on fundraising projects and events.

Elementary PTF Events

  • Back to School “Splash Bash” – This event is held on the high school during the first week of school.  It is an event for the entire family.  The PTF provides giant water slides, rock climbing wall, petting zoo, carpet golf and several other fun activities.
  • Family Fun Nights – These events are an evening (5 pm – 7 pm) specific to each grade level (K3-6).  The entire family is invited to the Family Wellness & Recreation Center of Little Rock’s First Baptist Church for fellowship and fun.  The gym will be open with age appropriate games. In addition, families may enjoy the indoor play area, Wii’s and game tables.  A light meal will be served.  Come spend an hour or two getting to know the other families in your child’s class.
